What Halloween Nightlife Says About Living in Downtown San Jose, Campbell and Los Gatos
Halloween is a good test of a neighborhood. Downtown San Jose packs five pop-ups and four crawls into a few walkable blocks, an appeal I cover in Living in Downtown San Jose: The Real Pros and Cons. You also get the noise.
Campbell and Los Gatos are calmer: walk to a wine bar, then home to a quiet street. If you're comparing towns across Santa Clara County, browse my community guides, or start with the best neighborhoods for first-time buyers. Moving here from out of town? My relocation guide can help you get settled.
